Wedges

Different sizes meet different needs. Our Bariatric is for patients weighing up to 500 lbs. Our longer wedges are used for off-loading and body alignment. Our shorter wedges are used for standard off-loading.

From a practical viewpoint, the efficacy of both types of wedges is the same. Both perform extremely well. Each has the same foam core for different weight requests. We have had sewn wedges to last up to eight years and we expect our heat sealed wedges to perform as well.

We had a customer request to provide a heat sealed group of wedges. The infection control nurses had decided that a “completely intact surface” which “let nothing in and nothing out” was desirable.

We upgraded the nylon and vinyl in order to obtain the requested heat seal.

Here is a side by side comparison:

Sewn
Needle holes
Non-wicking thread
Non-stretch nylon
Low slip vinyl bottom
Fluid resistant
Heat Sealed
No needle holes
No thread
Stretch Nylon
Super Grip vinyl bottom
Fluid resistant

Both of these maintain our mission of optimal off-loading and quality products.

Rainfresh Odor Eliminator

Rainfresh is an odor eliminator. Air fresheners usually just add another scent to an already “smelly” situation, but Rainfresh truly “eliminates” the odor. Rainfresh leaves a clean, fresh fragrance in place of the odor and disappears in about five minutes.
Part of the value of Rainfresh is that it is concentrated. By using a little, instead of a lot, you save money and eliminate the odor. So, spray once. Wait, spray again if necessary.
We have several outlets, please contact us for the one nearest you.

Citra-Eze Adhesive Remover

To remove tape, film dressings, hydrocolloids, ostomy wafers, and other adhesives, it is best to start a small corner or spot by gently pulling away from the skin and then spray Citra-Eze on the skin where it meets the tape. Wait four seconds and then slowly work Citra-Eze into the skin/tape connection with your gloved finger. A slow, gentle motion towards the tape will allow Citra-Eze to break the bond between the tape and skin.

Tough Guy Foot Floaters

Foot floaters are latex free.
The cover is resistant to fluids.

Folding Knee & Ankle Pad

The Folding Knee & Ankle Pad is designed to help prevent pressure injury on knees and ankles by placing as follows:

Folded, placed in a pillowcase, and positioned between the knees of a patient lying on their side. This keeps boney prominences cushioned from pressure and lessens friction.

Unfolded length wise, placed in a pillowcase and positioned from the foot up past the knee. Again, this cushions knees and ankles.

For just the ankles, place one foot on one side of the pad, fold it over and place the other foot on top of the pad. This will cushion both ankles and lessen friction.

Passive Leg Raise Pillow (Wedge)

Often, patients need a fluid optimization test. This test measures blood flow in the body. Several positions are used for measuring blood flow. One of those positions is the patient legs held at a 45 degree angle for several minutes. This can be difficult to achieve. Our PLR Pillow will hold both legs evenly at the 45 degree angle for as long as necessary.
